Former UFC heavyweight champion Tim Sylvia weighed in at 311 pounds on Thursday prior to his Titan FC 16 fight against Abe Wagner. Wagner, a former cast member on the 10th season of The Ultimate Fighter, weighed 265.2.
Titan FC 16 takes place Friday night at Memorial Hall in Kansas City, Kan. The main card, headlined by Sylvia vs. Wagner, airs live on HDNet at 10 p.m. ET.
This marks the heaviest Sylvia has ever been prior to a fight. "The Maine-iac" weighed 310 pounds before his fight against Ray Mercer in 2009 and 305 when he fought Mariusz Pudzianowksi in 2010.
The 34-year-old Sylvia (28-6) has won his last four fights in a row against Vince Lucero, Paul Buentello, Pudzianowksi and Jason Riley.
He took this fight on short notice after Todd Duffee, who was originally scheduled to fight Wagner, accepted a fight against Alistair Overeem at Dynamitte!! 2010.
Other Titan FC fights to be televised on Friday night include Jason High vs. Rudy Bears, Gary Tapusoa vs. Drew McFedries, and Rich "No Love" Clementi vs. Aaron Derrow.
Below is a video of Sylvia tipping the scales at 311 pounds.

Davis Injured, Out of Jan. 28 Titan FC Bout
WEC veteran L.C. Davis will not fight Jared Downing at Titan Fighting Championships 16.
Davis has been forced to withdraw from the event with a knee injury suffered in training. The news was first reported by MMAJunkie.com on Wednesday morning, and Sherdog.com confirmed the report shortly thereafter. Officials from the organization are currently working on a new opponent for Downing, though no names were mentioned as potential replacements for Davis.
TFC 16 takes place Jan. 28 at Memorial Hall in Kansas City, Kan., and will be headlined by a heavyweight showdown between former two-time UFC heavyweight champion Tim Sylvia and “The Ultimate Fighter” Season 10 cast member Abe Wagner.
After a hot start in the WEC, Davis fell on hard times in the second half of 2010. The featherweight debuted for the promotion at WEC 42 in 2009, edging out veteran submission ace Javier Vazquez by split decision. Davis then earned a unanimous decision over contender Diego Nunes three months later at WEC 44. The 30-year-old was not done, however, as he would get his hand raised for the final time inside the blue cage against Deividas Taurosivicius at WEC 47.
Davis then hit a speed bump, losing back-to-back fights for the first time in his career. First, the American Jiu-Jitsu Academy product was submitted by a Josh Grispi guillotine choke at WEC 49 in June. Davis then fell to another jiu-jitsu wizard in Raphael Assuncao, dropping a unanimous decision to the Brazilian at WEC 52 in November. Davis was cut by the promotion following the defeat.
Davis’ return to Titan FC would have been a homecoming of sorts, as the International Fight League veteran made a name for himself fighting in the Kansas-based organization. Davis fought six of his first eight bouts for Titan FC, earning a perfect 6-0 record and the promotion’s featherweight title before moving on to larger shows.
