Matt Lindland: All this adversity will only help Chael Sonnen's fight game (Video)

Chael Sonnen has been on an emotional roller coaster these past few months.
After testing positive for elevated levels of testosterone for his UFC 117 fight with middleweight champion Anderson Silva, Sonnen was suspended for one year and fined $2,000. Following a hearing before the California State Athletic Commission, Sonnen had his suspension reduced to six months; the fine remained intact.
Shortly thereafter, Sonnen plead guilty to a federal money laundering charge. He has yet to be sentenced for that matter, but is expected to give up his realtors license and pay a $10,000 fine as part of a plea agreement to avoid jail time.
Longtime training partner Matt Lindland recently spoke to Inside MMA‘s Ron Kruck as part of a series called “Inside America’s Gyms.” Chief among the topics of discussion: Chael Sonnen. Lindland believes these tough times will make Sonnen a “stronger, better person.”
